“Let in the Light” Contemporary staircase installation in Hinckley

A typical arrangement in Windrush Drive, Hinckley.  Here the client wanted to transform the staircase but keep the fairly new carpet.  The carpet fitter carefully lifted it for reuse but could not save the bullnose bottom step.  It was decided to replace the tread and riser in oak, squared off to match the posts and caps.  The lighter oak allows the grain to show through and the glass brightens the sweeping landing.  Any of the panels can be easily removed when decorating.
